Who is licensed to carry a medical device, in every market, free.
Bastion Hale builds the Distributor Index: every licensed medical device distributor, importer and registration holder we can find in public registries, searchable by device and market. It answers the first question of every launch abroad, who is licensed to import and hold the registration here, in minutes instead of weeks.
What the Index is
A company level map of the medical device channel in 111 markets: counts per market and segment, who holds the registration, the largest establishments by size, a page per country and a profile per company. It shows who is licensed, not who is good, and Bastion Hale does not vouch for any establishment.
How it is built
From public regulatory registries only: US FDA establishment registration, Health Canada licence files, EUDAMED economic operators and the Gulf registers. Official bulk downloads, documented APIs and public register pages, within each source's terms. Rows are merged into one entry per company per country, scored for size and completeness, and rebuilt every month. Every record shows its source and the date it was last seen. The full method, sources and licences are on the methodology page.
Who it is for
Medical device makers taking a product beyond the home market through distributors, and the people who advise them. Distributors use it too, to check and correct their own entry.
Free public data, kept free
Search, the map, every country page and every profile are free, and they stay free. Anything software delivers at no extra cost per user does not move behind a paywall. The Index holds company records only and never collects named individuals, even when a registry shows them.
